     Watching Sky News live coverage of Mr Antonis Samaras being sworn in as the New Greek Premier and head of the 3-party coalition Government I was carried over to...memory lane! In October 2009 Mr George (son of the late Andreas) Papandreou became Greece's new Premier, invited the IMF and the so-called troika (IMF, EU, ECB) and signed the "bail out memorandum" to deal with Greece's economic woes. Last summer amidst worsening economic conditions, rising civil strife and political instability Mr Papandreou resigned from the Premiership passing his seat on to caretaker Premier Mr Papadimos. Memory lane reminded me that the new Premier Mr Samaras and Mr Papandreou were class (and room) mates at the prestigious Amherst College in Amherst Massachusetts. If Mr Samaras will fare better than his old College mate remains to be seen, but for now to the Trustees of prestigious Amherst College whose graduates include USA President Calvin Coolidge, Monaco Prince Albert and 2 Greek Premiers...Cheers!...
